After an unsettlingly transformation that happened in her bedroom late at night, Valentina Hollister flees into the wilderness with the one responsible for it; the vampire who she fell in love with at a luxury hotel. As charming and supportive Skyler seems as her new vampiric boyfriend, her desire to gradually evolve into becoming as experienced as older vampires will result in her missing certain aspects of being a human sometimes. Nonetheless, she is sure that a brand new chapter of her life as a mysterious supernatural being is what she wanted after three years of being a preppy cheerleader at high school for the sake of gaining more self-empowerment.
 
Since she did not side with a younger girl who protested against hunting through poetry and ridiculed her instead, it is not much of a surprise that she becomes more than interested in hunting for blood with Skyler, which could be a red flag for a tribe of galactic creatures that migrated from another planet in a silver UFO.
